Job Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient operations on the production floor. This role involves coordinating daily activities, monitoring workflow, managing schedules, and meeting manufacturing targets and deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.


Essential Responsibilities

Production Oversight & Coordination

  • Coordinate and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to established schedules.
  • Track progress of work orders and shipments, maintaining production flow throughout the facility.
  • Identify and resolve production delays or disruptions; proactively address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventative equipment maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new production team members in partnership with engineering and department leads.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as a central point of communication between production management, scheduling, warehouse, and quality control teams.
  • Work closely with inventory teams to manage storage requirements, department-level inventory needs, shipment parts, and maintain min/max stock levels.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor raw material and component availability, escalating shortages or delays as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, cycle times, downtime, material usage, and labor hours.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support improvement initiatives by providing feedback on production processes, procedures, tooling, and quality assurance enhancements.
